Reynolds Community College Technical and Medical Education Classrooms

Cybersecurity visualization lab, medical simulation labs, medical learning technology presentation, flexible community room and general instruction spaces

Reynolds Community College in Richmond, VA partnered with Acuity Audiovisual to upgrade several medical and technology-focused labs and classrooms on the Downtown Campus, providing a unified AV experience across diverse teaching environments. The project included a high-impact cybersecurity visualization lab, medical simulation labs, medical learning technology presentation, flexible community room and general instruction spaces.

The Cybersecurity Visualization Lab featured an immersive data-wall environment designed to support hands-on cybersecurity simulations and real-time data analysis.  The lab included a multi-display video wall with synchronized content capability, allowing instructors and students to view global threat maps, dashboards, and learning content concurrently.

Medical simulation classrooms included cameras, speakers and microphones for 10 labs with over 45 endpoints.  The simulated learning environment was powered by Intelligent Video Solutions (IVS) VALT system.  The system integrated displays and cameras to present Syndaver and Anatomage medical learning devices for classroom observation.

General instruction classrooms and conference spaces delivered flexible, multi-use rooms with projectors, displays, wireless collaboration, video conferencing and high-end audio.  The design integrated ZoomRoom capabilities with AMX control for one-touch video conferencing and a common user interface across all spaces.  The Community Room, a flexible, multi-purpose space included a ‘press box’ connection, allowing outside media partners to pull audio and video from the room’s AV system.
